Susanne B. Cohen is an attorney in private practice in San Francisco and the East Bay specializing in conservatorships and trust administration, elder financial abuse and trusts and estates  litigation, and long term care and estate planning, including special needs trusts.   Susanne=s interest is in helping aging and disabled individuals maintain optimum independence and in assisting their families and fiduciaries. Susanne represents individuals and professional fiduciaries in court supervised conservatorships, trust administration, probate, and elder and dependent adult financial abuse litigation cases.

         She is an author for legal publishers Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB) and Matthew Bender with chapters in CEB=s California Elder Law Resources,  California Conservatorship Practice, and Complete Plans for Small and Mid-Sized Estates and Matthew Bender=s California Trust Litigation, and California Pleading & Practice.  She conducts trainings on elder and disability law practice for CEB, National Business Institute (NBI), Bar Association of San Francisco, East Bay Trusts & Estates Attorneys, and at the Legal Assistance for Seniors Elder Abuse Conference.  

         A former legal services attorney specializing in aging and disability issues, she has served as a staff attorney at Legal Aid of San Jose, Legal Assistance for Seniors in Oakland, California Rural Legal Assistance in Modesto, and The Arizona Center for Disability Law.  She received her B.A. degree from Vassar College in 1984 and her J.D. from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles in 1989.
